The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for two roadway projects located along SR 5/US 1 from SW 112 Avenue to SW 264 Street, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Reconstructing and removing abandoned driveways
- Repaving and restriping the road
- Rehabilitating the bridge pavement
- Improving and installing additional drainage inlets
- Upgrading pedestrian crosswalks, signage, signals and ramps
- Improving sidewalks
- Enhancing swales
- Adjusting manholes
- Upgrading guardrail
- Reconstructing driveways
- Enhancing crosswalks along SR 5/US 1 signalized intersections
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC:
During construction, temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours may affect traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and residences will be maintained.
