Project Summary
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project along State Road (SR) 5/US 1/North Roosevelt Boulevard from Eisenhower Drive to South Roosevelt Boulevard, in Monroe County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Adding pedestrian countdowns to the existing pedestrian signal poles
- Updating curb ramps and sidewalks
- Replacing signage
- Trimming or relocating landscape
- Repaving and restriping the road
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC
During construction, temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours may affect traffic. Vehicular and pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and residences will be maintained.
